Public Cloud 2.0 beta

The beta is over!

In April 2022, we launched our OpenStack solution. Since then, a lot has happened behind the scenes! Currently, we are working hard on a new region: AMS2. In this region, you will have access to a more recent release of OpenStack, which includes several new features. We expect to deliver this new region on July 1. Therefore, it is no longer possible to sign up for the beta.

What we're working on:

A more recent version of OpenStack

A more frequent version of OpenStack. We're transitioning to the most recent version of OpenStack. The advantage of this is that you'll also be able to use the latest version of the API, which is far more extensive than the current API version.

Protecting data with Barbican

The new OpenStack version comes with Barbican, a component for data protection and security. With Barbican, you can securely store sensitive information such as passwords, API keys, and digital certificates.

HTTPS-offloading for better performance

Barbican also enables HTTPS offloading. This is a process where encrypted HTTPS traffic is decrypted at the load balancer or proxy server, allowing the backend servers to deal only with unencrypted HTTP traffic. This generally improves application performance.

Load balancing with Octavia

The new version of OpenStack includes Octavia, a scalable load balancer service for routing network traffic to multiple backend servers. This allows you to better distribute the load across the servers in your OpenStack infrastructure.
